Founded in 1966, Simon’s Rock is the leader  in the Early College Movement. We’re the only full-time, four-year, highly ranked college of  the liberal arts and sciences designed for students ready to begin college after the 10th or 11th grade.

Bard College at Simon’s Rock is the only college in the country specifically designed for students ready to enter college after the 10th or 11th grade. Simon’s Rock offers a curriculum in the liberal arts and sciences, taught by supportive, highly trained faculty,  who are leading scholars in their field.

In 2023, Simon’s Rock was ranked No. 4 for Most Innovative School and No. 5 for Best Undergraduate Teaching by U.S. News and World Report. Simon’s Rock is in the top 20 for alumni who go on to complete their PhD.

Daniel Arts Center – The Daniel Arts Center is both an exceptional campus resource and a major regional cultural destination. This contemporary two-building complex houses a 300-seat theater, 100-seat black-box, dance studio, and studios and production facilities dedicated to every form of art and media. 

Library: The library has a huge collection of national and international journals. 50,000 full-text electronic journals, magazines, and newspapers, 200,000 eBooks, 1,900,000 digital images across the disciplines, 145,000 digital maps, 62,000 academic videos, 1,900,000 tracks of classical music.
